What Is a Base Plate?

A Base Plate is a load-bearing, datum-establishing structural component used to:

  • Provide a primary reference plane for fixtures or assemblies
  • Transfer loads to underlying structural members
  • Anchor modular assemblies to frames or foundations
  • Maintain geometric stability during operation

At the system level, it defines the foundational geometry upon which subsystems are constructed.
